This is "Jackie".  She is a registered Morgan mare.  In 1990 I put my name in a drawing, run by Appleflat Farm of NC, at the Grand National Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma City and I won her.  She was a two year old.  She was not broke to ride, just to drive, so my friend Sara and I broke her to ride.  We were about 12 at the time.  She is and always has been a wonderful horse.  She is very versitile, which is what a Morgan horse is all about!
This is a picture of Jackie and I doing a victory pass at the Eastern States in West Springfield Mass.  We won a Classic Pleasure Class.
Jackie and I do not do many shows any more.  We just have fun together.  We both love to teampen.  Teampenning is for a team of three horses and riders.  You have to pick three cows with the the same number on out of a herd of cattle, and then putting them in a pen.  We do not compete yet we are still learning.  Jackie loves to sit at the fence and watch the cows go back and forth in the ring.  Pictures below are at a teampenning practice in July.
This is Mary and Jackie.  Mary leased Jackie for a couple of years.  She rode saddleseat.   They accomplished many wins in the show ring together.  Pictured in 2000.
This is Hannah's second leadline show with Jackie 2001.  Hannah rides huntseat.  She is three years old, and she has been riding for only four months!  At her first show she received two first's in equitation, and a second place in pleasure out of five.  At this show she received a second in equitation.  Way to go Hannah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
